The price includes the brand, copy, design, domain, hosting and admin for the first year. From the second year you pay only for the domain and hosting, directly to the provider, and nothing at all to us.

Who's behind BlueOrca

I draw, write and build the website myself, and I have been doing it for seventeen years.

Jan Matoušek

I taught myself to build websites on my first computer, in 2004. Since 2009 it has been my living. Early on I started writing my own admin system, mostly out of irritation: off-the-shelf systems did ninety per cent of what a client needed, and the remaining ten per cent always had to be worked around.

BlueOrca began with a contract I lost. Someone took it cheaper, with a template put together in two days, and I realised it was not a dispute about price. A business owner looks at offers that all seem interchangeable and has no way of telling them apart. So alongside the websites I built the things where the difference can be seen: the admin, visitor analytics and a public quality audit (in Czech for now).
